Here are the topics for BB Bowness's and Ben Krakauer's banjo classes at Camp Tunefox 2020. Each day features a theme for the teacher to base their lessons on. Day 1 is Backup & Groove, Day 2 is Melody, and Day 3 is Creativity/Improvisation.

Ben Krakauer's Class Topics:
Friday (Backup & Groove):
- Beg/Int. Class – Feeling the beat in different parts of the measure. Shifting the emphasis within forward and backward rolls to “free” your right hand.
- Advanced Class – Feeling the beat in different parts of the measure. Shifting the emphasis within rolls to “free” your right hand. Adapting drum patterns to banjo.
Saturday (Melody):
- Beg/Int. Class – Using additive rhythms to improvise and play melody on any string within a roll.
- Advanced Class – Using additive rhythms to improvise and play melody on any string within a roll. Creating long syncopated rolls and melodies.
Sunday (Creativity/Improv):
- Beg/Int. Class – Pentatonic improvisation through seven neck positions.
- Advanced Class– Pentatonic improvisation and circle of 4ths through seven neck positions.
BB Bowness's Class Topics:
Friday (Backup & Groove):
- Beg/Int. Class - Metronome practice, how to start using the metronome and ways to incorporate the metronome into your practice routine in different ways.
- Advanced Class – Rhythm variations on scale patterns. Some more rhythmically creative ways to practice scales, arpeggios and other fundamentals on the banjo.
Saturday (Melody):
- Beg/Int. Class – Finding the melody and crafting solos around it. Ways to pick out song melodies and transfer it into banjo language.
- Advanced Class – Fiddle tune melodies on the banjo. We'll work through some tunes in different positions both single string and melodic style to explore all the options available to us on the banjo.
Sunday (Creativity/Improv):
- Beg/Int. Class - Tools to use when practicing improvisation. Useful chord shapes that can be practiced in different keys and positions around the neck to expand your vocabulary.
- Advanced Class – Fiddle tune improvisation ideas and techniques. Ways to practice improvisation on fiddle tunes in melodic style and single string.
