Tune your banjo to Drop C before playing this tune. This makes your big D string, the 4th string, a C note. This gets a super rich low sound, that is perfect for a lot of tunes in the key of C or when playing with C 'shapes'
Here is some basic backup for Skip to My Lou on the clawhammer banjo. We are just using a simple bum-ditty rhythm pattern and alternating between a bass note and a chord strum. Considering the low "booming" sound we'll get in drop C, we might even call this a boom-ditty!
