This song was made popular by Doc Watson. It has a signature intro which works great on Clawhammer banjo. This arrangement uses double C tuning, if you want to play it in the original key of D just slap that capo on at the 2nd fret and spike your 5th string at the 7th fret.
All the left hand fingerings are recommendations, but sometimes you can find an alternate fingering that is perfectly viable and works better for you.
