This song can be played entirely at and below the fifth fret using typical acoustic blues licks. The important thing here is to keep the bass strings ringing constantly - especially when not playing the melody. Playing alternating, or constant bass notes with your thumb is a cornerstone of this guitar style. It may be hard in the beginning, but once you nail it, you can create a full band sized groove all by yourself.
