This solo shows how you can make a solo simply by navigating the chord changes of a song and playing licks based on the chord shapes rather than the melody! For the basic arrangement you'll use a repeating pattern that is similar for each of the different chords. You will get very familiar with the hammer-on and playing double stops. After getting a hang of these 3 basic patterns you can explore more variation in the licks.
Learning to solo out of chord shapes will help you discover new ideas, and can be a way to develop solo ideas even if you don't know the melody of a song, but ideally you know the melody and the chords!
