Here is the low octave B major scale for mandolin in 2nd position. It can be a bit of a challenge, but just take it one note at a time. Follow the suggested fingerings in the mandolin tablature. Don't incorporate timing until you are very familiar and comfortable with the finger positions used in the scale.
Practice the B major scale as a warmup before working on songs that are in the key of B. This uses a great symmetrical and "movable" pattern. If you play this same pattern starting on fret two, you will be playing an A major scale. Play this pattern starting on fret five, and you'll be playing a C major scale!
