Back
  • 3rds
  • Key   C
  • Tempo   30 bpm
  • Tuning   GDAE

Learning to skip around the major scale by playing intervals known as thirds, can really help you understand the scale pattern better. It can also help you unlock some new sounds and ideas for your own playing. A minor third is a 3 fret jump when playing it on a single string i.e. D string open and jump to the 3rd fret. A Major 3rd would be a 4 fret jump i.e. D string open to 4th fret.
