As bluegrass mandolin players we don't use capos, so hen it's time to learn a tune in a different key we have to play different scales and the melody in new positions and different fingerings. It's a challenge, but one that leads to fretboard fluency! Again, try to say or sing the words as you play them, it helps with memorization.
