This arrangement of Beaumont Rag is in the key of C. Some guitarists might play it in D. In that case, just capo 2 and spike your 5th string at the 7th fret. This version is based on the harmonica playing of the great David Naiditch. He is an excellent and extremely inventive player. He does a wonderful job of bringing fresh ideas into these old tunes. There are a few single string passages. They help us to stay close to the melody as played by David. If you check the lick switcher there are plenty of options. Some licks give you an easier option for some of the tougher passages in the main arrangement. There's also some cool variations, and some alternate fingerings.
