Somethings are just better Scruggs Style. It's THE quintessential banjo sound. Playing up the neck is a great challenge for many. It's good to learn the melody on the first five frets, then up the neck. Eventually transferring the melody from low position to up the neck will be come more comfortable once you start to recognize how the chord shapes and patterns change.
