This Raymond Fairchild version Keep on the Sunny Side displays several hallmarks of his style if you look and listen closely enough. One of the main things you will notice is he uses the alternating thumb roll and variations of it - a lot! This keeps things nice and even and allows you to get a strong and consistent rhythmic feel. Using this roll pattern in Scruggs licks that usually have other roll patterns can give them a whole new sound, but also make them a bit tricky to learn. It's a great challenge and cool new perspective.
