Here is the basic melody for "Rider" in the key of G on the banjo, but in the higher octave. That means you're playing the same notes(G G G G D D E F F E E D... etc.) just a higher "version" of those notes. Learning the same melody in multiple spots on the banjo neck is great for your understanding of fretboard layout on the banjo.
Practice listening regularly. With time you will memorize the sound of pitch changes and timing. This will ensure you know how it is supposed to sound. Memorizing the lyrics and saying or singing the words will also help boost your memory and musicality when playing. Some lyrics are listed in the banjo tablature along with the fingering suggestions.
Try to look away from the tab to test your memory as soon as possible. You can also use hide notes to test your memory or learn this by ear. For a bonus challenge - try playing with your eyes closed!
