Tennessee Stud is an incredibly cool song. This song was written by Jimmy Driftwood and popularized in the world of Bluegrass by Dow Watson. It's been recorded and performed by so many legends and is a lot of fun to play and learn. That being said it can be very tricky. Pay close attention to the fingerings in the banjo tablature. Also, remember to spike or capo your 5th string at the 7th fret, or tune it up to an A note.

There's several things that will help you tackle this. For the intro/instrumental, knowing the basic D melodic major scale is a must. Check out the D Major Melodic Scale Workout to learn the scale in two octaves and get your melodic playing in shape.

As usual, the Focus feature is another indispensable tool. Loop tough measures to listen and practice repeatedly at an easy tempo.

There's a lot of great licks to check out after you get a handle on the main arrangement. Have fun with the Tennessee Stud!
