September Content -2026
Content
Hey all, Jordan here on behalf of the team to bring you an update for the new tunes and lessons that were added in September and early October. I hope you all enjoy it, and I hope it helps. I've still been playing catchup between Tunefox and my busy teaching schedule at the local music academy, but I've cranked out what I hope is a nice batch of new content that you all will dig. I mentioned this in last month, but I've recently updated the lick library for banjo and guitar, this month I added a whole heap of mandolin videos. There's around 150 new demo vids that have been added. It came from some old footage I had recorded several years ago, but recently rediscovered in my digital library.
There's a heap of new tunes, tabs and a few video lessons to check out this month. Check out the overview video to get a rundown of all the new tunes. If you want some extra musicianship and practice then give that video a watch as well.
Grand Overview
Practice Tips for Banjo, Mandolin & Guitar
1. Name Your Notes
Whether you play Banjo, Guitar, or mandolin, it's good to be able to name your notes for the first 5-7 frets on each string. Learning the names of the notes on the fretboard can start to give you a clearer picture of how everything lays out. If you want to go the extra mile, name the notes for frets 0-12 on each string. The main Thing you need to know to do this are the 12 notes of music. There's 7 natural notes, and 5 accidentals. I'll do a more in depth demo in the practice tips video, so tune into that if you want some guidance.
2. Scale Patterns
These can be so many things. Many of these patterns are parts of standard tunes like Whiskey Before Breakfast and Blackberry Blossom. You can always take things further. I give some fun examples of this in the practice tips video.
Here's a few links to Scale Pattern exercises for the different instruments

Mandolin

That's it for this content update. Stay tuned and keep picking!
