Here is a B Major pentatonic scale workout for the mandolin in 2nd position and on the treble strings. If you can produce clear notes when playing the basic scale - ascending, descending, and in time - then this is your next step. Take it slow. Notice you will be incorporating alternate picking. Follow those fingerings and pick directions in the mandolin tablature.
