This pentatonic étude on the mandolin will help you practice the C minor pentatonic scale and give you a great solo for Columbus Stockade Blues. It is tricky. Here's an easy way to identify those repeating measures and phrases. Look for the sections that have fingering suggestions and pick direction markings. Those are the main phrases.
The main pentatonic run in measures 2 & 3 is a movable shape. If you move them it a different spot on the neck you will then be playing a minor pentatonic run in a different key. This is clearly demonstrated with the in the B section. Slide in and out of the first and last notes of the lick to accommodate the necessary position shift.
