Pay attention to the right hand fingerings. There's a double thumb technique that's used several times, starting with the kickoff notes. You can get the same notes using single string technique, but there's a certain sound and feel that comes with double thumbing. Once you get it you will dig it!

If you look at the tab and listen before playing, which you should always do, you'll notice Vic uses the same phrase several times. It 's really quite genius. Measures 2, 5, and 6 are exactly the same. There's different chordal movement happening, but this phrase works in each of those measures and touches on the melody each time! The first note of the kickoff is accented, meaning you hit it a little harder than the others, and every time that shows up in the song again you should aim to accent it like Vic did. That's another part of the signature sound of his break.
