Learn to play the B section of Over the Waterfall, up the neck and in the melodic style, on the banjo. This one has a few technical challenges. There is the typical "stretch" that's often used when playing melodic style banjo in the key of D. There is also some fretted notes on the 5th string. This is very common when playing melodic style past the 5th fret and up the neck.

The fingerings in the banjo tablature suggest using your fret hand thumb to play the notes on the fifth string. You "wrap" it over the top of the banjo just enough to touch the 5th string and get the note. There are alternate fingerings in the lick switcher that show some different fret hand options that don't require using the thumb.

Notice the scale pattern used in the end of the song. Scales and scale patterns are so common in instrumental banjo music, fiddle tunes, and just music in general. It's important to practice scales and scale patterns if you want to improve your facility on banjo and knowledge of the melodic style.
