This version is based on a live performance by the Osborne brothers, but it's also very similar to the way Sonny played on many other recordings by the Osborne Brothers. When "kicking off" the song, Sonny would play an abridged version of the normal solo. It's half as long and is essentially playing over half of the verse melody & chord progression.
