This version of Old Joe Clark will get you in full fledged flatpicking fiddle tune mode. It's very similar to how most fiddlers play this. It also is very accessible. Use the difficulty slider to adjust to your taste and skill level.
Most of this song is played in the first position. That means you'll match the finger to the fret. First finger for first fret and so on. A position shift is required for measures 8 & 16. Do that while playing open strings in the previous measure. This is a very common flatpick guitar move for this type of scale run and section ending lick.
