Here is the A minor scale for mandolin on the G and D strings. Since we are playing this on the wound strings you will get a lower pitch, but the notes are still A B C D E F G. Pay close attention to the fingerings in the mandolin tablature.
Make sure to place fingertips close to the back of the frets. This will ensure you get a clear note with the least amount of effort. Don't use the player when first learning this. In the beginning, fret the note, pick the string and let it ring. Don't move to the next scale note until one stops ringing. Maintain finger pressure to see how long you can get it to ring for.
After you get comfortable with the scale notes and making them clearly you can begin to play along in time with the Tunefox player slowly.
