"Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" is a piece written by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane and instituted in the MGM musical Meet Me in St. Louis in 1944 by Judy Garland. Frank Sinatra also released a modified version of the message. ASCAP ranked it in 2007 as the third most performed Christmas song by ASCAP members over the previous five years. It ended at No. 76 in AFI's 100 Years... 100 Songs rankings in American cinema's top tunes in 2004.
