Learn to play Take This Hammer on the banjo. This basic two finger arrangement is mostly thumb lead. That means the thumb is playing the melody notes, or lead. Both thumb and index will also be used to play "fill-in" notes that help bring that classic banjo sound. There are a lot of repeating patterns here. That will make this very accessible to beginner and early intermediate players.
Not all measures in the banjo tablature have fingering indications for the fret hand or pick hand. That is intentional. There are many measures in this arrangement that repeat. So if a measure doesn't have pick hand or fret hand fingerings, it's happened earlier in the song. This is also a good clue for which measures to practice. If there are fingering indications, then use that focus feature to master the individual measure before trying to tackle the whole song.
