A Minor Pentatonic Guitar Tablature: One Song, Many Styles

Learn the basic A minor pentatonic scale on the guitar. The A minor pentatonic scale leaves out the 2nd and 7th scale degrees of the full A minor scale. The A minor scale notes are: A B C D E F G. Therefore the A minor pentatonic notes are A C D E G. There are just 5 notes, hence the name "pentatonic".
Follow the suggested fingerings in the guitar tablature. Try to hold down fretted notes as long as possible. This will build strength, coordination, and help you get a smooth and clean sound.
After getting the hang of the fret hand fingerings for the basic scale you can then try the basic workouts. This incorporates alternate picking. Practice very slowly at first. Don't sacrifice accuracy for speed.
