This Beginning version of Turkey in the Straw is not without challenge. That's why we're keeping the tempo at 50 bpm. However you may need to slow it down even more, looping difficult measures and substitution licks. Slow and steady wins the race. It's better to play slow and clean than fast and sloppy.
David Grier. Nuff' said. This arrangement isn't for the faint of heart, or those that don't have a lot of cross-picking under their belt. Also, don't kickoff Turkey in the Straw in the key of D unless you want to get kicked out of a jam session!
