Scrugg Life, Baby!

If the Scrugg life chose you, check out a few of these tunes and lessons that focus on learning from the master. The songs start simple, without hammers, slides, or pull-offs. They can get even simpler if you use the difficulty slider. After you learn the arrangement try to learn some of the Scruggs Style riffs! Remember you can use the difficulty slider on individual measures as well. If anything gives you trouble, try to look at the elements that make up that riff. The roll. The fretted notes. The timing. The pull-offs. Etc. Try and create your own exercises like the ones in this lick lesson series. Make ones that help you focus your practice on the different techniques, and then try and put it all back together again. Humpty-Dumpty that thing!
