Forward Roll, Alternating Thumb Roll, and Forward/Backward Roll

Here you'll learn how to combine roll patterns. In bluegrass banjo songs you wont really ever stick to one pattern so it's good to practice playing different rolls together.

First, you'll start out with the forward roll, then play an alternating thumb roll, a forward roll again, and finally a forward/backwards roll. These patterns can be used in a lot of different configurations, so once you feel good about this practice example, make up your own!
