An Exercise in Syncopation
If you weren't feeling the groove yet, this should get your toe tapping. This exercise will help you nail the syncopation Earl kicks off his second break with. Listen to the Tunefox tab, and video example, a lot. Try to speak, sing, clap, or tap out the rhythm; then give it a shot on your banjo. As with any exercise, or even any tune, don't get satisfied with playing it right just once. Let it loop and put in a bunch of reps. This is how you really strengthen those Banjo chops.
