BONUS: Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star

Practicing Down and Up Strokes

This tab will help you learn and practice the nursery rhyme, "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star." The tab is notated as all downstrokes for the first time through the melody and then switches to alternate picking. Notice how the first note of every measure is always a downstroke. Typically, guitarists will play downstrokes on the strong beats (1 and 3) and up strokes on the weak beats (2 and 4). We'll get into this in later lessons.
