Playing the Full Strum Pattern

In this lesson you are going to apply the Bum-Ditty strumming pattern to your Em chord.

Remember the sound of the bum-ditty? We are now adding an upstroke to our strumming pattern after your downstroke on all of the strings. It'll create the bum-ditty rhythm. Exaggerate the motion of your arm and hand for this exercise. Remember, don't lock your arm and stay relaxed. Playing slow will help you focus on this essential aspect.
