The E Minor Chord

Only Two Fingers Required!

For this chord, you're only going to push down two strings with your fretting hand. First, take your middle finger and place it behind the 2nd fret, 5th string. Make sure your finger is directly behind the fret, as this will make it easier for you to push down and will eliminate buzzing. Once that finger is in a good position, place your ring finger right underneath it on the 2nd fret, 4th string.

The tab shows where your Em chord is. Play along with it a bit using downstrokes and check in on your fingers occasionally to make sure the notes are coming through clearly.
