Banjo in the Hollow

Your first melodic style song

Here it is folks- your first song! And it's really not that hard, so don't be intimidated that you are starting up at the 9th and 10th frets. These notes are an extension of the scale you learned in the previous lesson.

The trick to this song is to get the melody in your head because it's very repetitive. If you can sing it, that will help you internalize it faster. Also, if you know your chords, practice playing the backup while singing the melody. This is actually a great thing to do with any new song you're learning!
