10.1 Downstrokes

The G major scale is closely related to the pentatonic scale in that the majority of the notes are identical. You're simply adding 2 notes to the pentatonic scale to create the major scale.

The G major scale is a 7 or 8 note scale, depending on how you look at it. There are 7 different notes in the scale with the 8th note being the same as the 1st. The notes in this scale are G A B C D E F# G. This isn't incredibly important information right now and it'll be more fun to apply this scale to your fretboard so you can start working on technique. Then you can move on to your first song in the Tunefox song library!
